Friends, you know the song! Go ahead—pull up the Beatles on your phone and listen. Then sing it with me:

Little darlin’, it’s been a long, cold, lonely winter.
Little darlin’, it feels like years since it’s been here…

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo… Here comes the sun, and I say, it’s alright.

You are going to be okay. In fact, you’re going to be better than okay. You will find your joy again—sooner than you think.

I won’t sugarcoat it—change is hard, especially the kind that blindsides you. But here’s the truth: you were made to do hard things.

Maybe today you’re in the “messy middle” — not where you once were, but not yet where you want to be. The sun is starting to shine on you, and you’re beginning to feel its warmth.

Maybe you’re in the “broken” stage. I remember vividly the day I took the picture that represents this for me. A friend told me, “The sun will rise tomorrow, and you will be okay.” I didn’t believe them completely, but I believed them a little—and that little bit was enough to give me hope each morning.

Or maybe you’re in the stage where you can feel the sun fully. You’ve found joy again, healing is real, and life is good. It’s not easy—because “easy” and “happy” aren’t the same thing—but grief no longer hijacks you. You believe in your future again, and you like what you see.

Wherever you find yourself today, here’s the secret: you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

I don’t know the exact circumstances that have brought you here, but I do know this: we are better together—and you have a place here.

Dr. Brené Brown calls us “the brave and brokenhearted,” and I carry that truth close. I’m sharing her manifesto with you because it has shaped the way I show up in this world.

I’m on my own journey toward becoming my best self, and I’d love for you to join me. This path is deeply personal, and I’m leaning into vulnerability—something that hasn’t always come easily to me, but is proving to be worth every step.

It’s a beautiful life we get to live, and we cannot become our best selves without each other. One day, you will look in the mirror and see yourself in full, glorious color, and every hard step will have been worth it. In the meantime, I will leave you with this quote from my dear friend, Dr Kate Bohannon.

“ The butterfly never knows the strength AND beauty in her wings. Others do! Dr. Kate Bohannon

So, remember friends, we are better together!

Here comes the sun!

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo
Here comes the sun
And I say, it's alright

Little darlin', it's been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darlin', it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
And I say, it's alright

Little darlin', the smile's returning to their faces
Little darlin', it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
And I say, it's alright
